New Pictures of Elder Grover

Happy Birthday Elder Grover

December 19, 2010

Dear Family,
Hey, thanks for the writing pads. How do you make 'em? Anyway, the power is out and we got a couple of flashlights out right now. So I figured I'd write you. It's possible we won't be able to email tomorrow...or laundry...It's kind of fun, though. Reminds me of Katrina.
I'm putting a CD in there of the Lincoln 3rd Ward Video. I'm in it a few times. You'll notice all of the music in it...It's all done by people in the Ward.  I particularly like the last one that starts the nativity stuff. You'll notice the pictures that show a bunch of different people. One is elder Lloyd. (brand new RM) Then there is Brother Grant's wife who passed away. Then, Sister Beach, the older lady with birthday cake. I actually knew her. We visited her the day before she passed away. She was born in Mississippi, actually.  Then, I really like how it shows the temple...and at the end with Christ.  It really ties it all into temple work and sealings. And then Christ, the power behind it all. We actually got to go to the temple Thursday and we spent 2 hours in the celestial room. It was a great experience. But, anyway the video portrays the great blessings of the temple. The hope that we have that we will be with our families later. Watch the video. It really invites the spirit in. But, anyway I really enjoyed going to the temple.....It was neat to just stay there and enjoy it. I would recommend doing that. Rather than sitting for 10 minutes...stay for a little longer.
Anyway, things are going great here. Christmas is coming. Btw, I haven't gotten the last package you said you were shipping. I hope it doesn't get here too late if I get transferred. I don't know if I trust Elder Curfew enough., lol ....but thanks for everything.   I really like these pads. This one the most.
One thing about the area, during the winter, it rains ALL THE TIME. It will rain, then stop, then rain, then stop. It's kinda cool sometimes. When you're not in it...but it is one of those..."I'm on a mission" moments.
But anyway, Can't wait to call you later. I think we should probably figure out when we are going to do it...
Anyway, Merry Christmas! Hope y'all have a good one!   Love, Elder Reo Grover
